Answer:
OK, your fear is valid and I realize you have a real problem here but I can't help but envy your situation and here's why. Obviously you are in a warm climate where the "skeeters" can live. Me? Stuck in the frozen wintry tundra where the temps are below zero on a regular basis. I would leave, but I am sooooo tied here that escape is impossible. Yes, I am having a pitty party of mammoth proportions. Yes I am pathetic and stupid for living here. Yes I have a real problem and I haven't helped you one bit. I'm sorry. I just so needed to vent. Thanks for listening. Whoever gave me a thumbs down for my "answer" is just plain cruel.
Answer:
Things like citronella candles are an effective deterrent of mosquitoes.
Answer:
The mosquitoes here in NC are not tolerant of Patchouli. I use Patchouli oil mixed with sunflower oil to keep the little buggers away.
I just rub some on my skin and the skeeters don't bite, they don't even light.
Good luck with them mosquitoes.
Answer:
You might want to try a natural insect repellent from your local health food store, and if they don't carry them, try sprinkling the place with some lavender-eucalyptus-peppermint-spearmint… essential oil. This will hopefully scatter the "skeeters" in your house!!
