Hi, how do i know what to state whilst tapping and how do i know what to tap on? Do i have to have to feel the emotion in order for it to work?

Answer:
No I dont think you’ve to feel it…. in fact i dont think you even have to really believe it (eg.. 'I totally love and appreciatie myself') because the subconscious responds anyway…. the point of the feeling is to get to the thoughts and feelings that still bother you the most, that is why they use the zero to ten scale for ;how much it bothers you…
One can tap on anything, thoughts, feelings, no feelings, etc.
There are many examples and free resources at the site listed below,
I started with making a list of things that still bother me daily, or even from the past, writing them in a notebook, then tapping on them….
Like, even tho I have all this hatred toward so and so for (whatever) , i love and accept myself…. then the second round would be … even tho I STILL have this hatred toward so and so for ……, I love and accept myself… etc… until the feeling is down to zero…
The reason they say it works better in some cases to feel the emotion is because it addresses it better that way…. but of course there are some situations that this isn’t the advised way to do it.. because it could be overwhelming…. in PTSD cases, sever trauman;, etc…. in which case just seeing it like in a movie, or just addressing it to start with without the feeling is more appropriate…
There are answers to all this and more at the resource below… it works…… read the info , stories, there

Answer:
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) works best if you have someone you can trust that will be able to muscle test you to certain statements or emotions. While tapping in the emotion every thought should start with: I love and appreciate myself, even if … Fill in the blank. Example: I love and appreciate myself, even if I’ve feelings of grief. E-mail me if you’ve any more specific questions about EFT.
