Okay so i was at the dentist the other day and i was getting a seal put on, and the dentist people kept talking to me! I couldn't answer so i just made noises and shrugged. I really just wanna know why dentist do that to their patients.

Answer:
My own personal observations:
1. Dentists like people. Most of us went into the field to help people and really like most.
2. We often speak with the patient to let them know that we know there is a person attached to the teeth
3. We’re really good at understanding the patients grunts and shrugs!

Secret Answer: The reason many of use talk to the patient is to keep them from thinking about what’s going on in their mouth and imagining the worst! If the Dentist is calm, so is the patient!
