I am 15 and have never had any dental problems so far. I had my molars sealed i guess about 2 years ago. you can see like a tiny white splotch on my lower 4 molars. I guess its supposed to help prevent cavities. Anyway while brushing I noticed a tiny brownish speck on a molar with that white sealant. I tried brushing it but it wont go away and i scraped at it a tiny with that think on the end of some toothbrushes. I’ve no pain or discomfort anywhere in my mouth so what if this? Just a stain or will it go away eventually?
Answer:
Most likely it is some stain around the sealants. Possibly a small part of the sealer even broke. Most likely it isn’t a cavity. You won't be able to remove the stain by brushing but I wouldn’t worry at all about it and the dentist will check it out at your next check up.
Answer:
During dental cleaning, they have special tools that they have the ability to use to properly scrape it off, whether it be a stain or plaque (trying to scrape it off yourself will not work). If it's plaque, in time it will decay your tooth/teeth if not treated in a reasonable period of time.
