I’ve a 'double tooth', if its even called that. the third tooth along on the left hand side is a baby tooth, but its really not ready to come out yet, its like..cemented to the spot…and i have a canine-like tooth that has grown right behind it as an adult tooth and its causing me a bit of pain 'cause i keep biting my tounge and the latter tooth is pushing againsed the baby one.
My dentist hasn't stated that anything will need to be done, but i was just wondering what he could/would do if i asked him to sort it out or what he'd have to do if the baby tooth came out.

Answer:
Depending on your age, he may opt to remove it–which would be a easy surgical procedure, probably taking an hour or so. There may, however, be reasons why he's waiting. If you're still young, the teeth may move on their own thereby rendering the removal unnecessary.

I'd definitely mention the pain you're feeling–if it's unmanageable in any way, I think you should definitely ask about what treatments are available.

Best of luck!

Hey thanks for choosing my answer as the ideal! :-) I understand how you may feel about getting braces: I'm 19 and got mine off last year! But in all honesty, it really wasn't that bad. I was so worried about being the only kid @ college w/ braces, but there really are a lot of ppl who do! Good luck! Report Abuse
