The gum between my two front teeth is puffing up. This happened about 10 months ago. When I went to the dentist for a clean up 6 months ago, she told me that I need to start brushing my teeth superior or else something bad will happen to my teeth. I am really worried that gingivitis can't be cured, especially since I haven't done anything to make it superior. Oh and I’ve braces. Any tips on how to get rid of gingivitis? And is it too late to cure gingivitis or am I stuck with this forever?
Answer:
Flossing between the teeth strengthens the gums and prevents gingivitis. You will have to get a flossing tool since you’ve braces. It is curable. Use listerine mouth wash daily.
Answer:
Gingivitis is the inflammation of the gums margins, due to the presence of the tartar, and furthermore due to bacteria.Plaque forms wherever food debris becomes lodged in the mouth, usually along the gums margins and in the area that are difficult to clean, called stagnation area.Plaque lying along the gum margin will irritate the soft tissue and eventually cause inflammation of the gums, or gingivitis, and that is reversible but do not let it become periodontitis, because that’s not reversible. If you go to see your hygienist, or dentist she/he is going to remove all the plaque and tartar that you have in your mouth, and give you further instructions on how to clean your teeth and gums ,especially that you have braces, you should take good care when you’ve appliances in your mouth.
Answer:
Use mouthwash containing sage oil, peppermint oil, menthol, chamomile tincture etc Use toothpaste containing sage oil, peppermint oil etc.
Gingivitis patients should consume low saturated fats. They have to include lots of fresh fruits, and vegetables in their diet. They have to eat a diet rich in fiber. People deficient in Vitamin C are at increased risk for periodontal disease. They have to take Vitamin C supplements to improve the gum health. Eating vitamin C rich foods is beneficial. Avoid sugar, fruit juices, white flour, white rice, soft drinks, and syrups.
Answer:
Gingivitis can be healed if caught early enough. There are many stages, I believe and the most advanced is pretty much losing your teeth due to the loss of gum tissue. Be sure to brush at least twice a day, floss once a day alongside going to the dentist every 6 months. Using mouthwash helps as well. Just remember that you don’t want to brush hard (contrary to belief, you don’t want your gums to bleed from brushing so hard).
