Is baking soda paste a safe way to whiten teeth at home?

I've read on several sites that baking soda mixed with water makes a great way to whiten teeth at home. Is this true?

yeah it's safe, I've even seen commercial brands that use baking soda. I don't know how well it works though, you will have to find that out ;]

yes i been doing it for about a month and i noticed the diff. 3 weeks later so yes keep doing it and afterwards rinse with your favorite mouth wash
