well i have one of those gazelle things will it really work for me? i cant do sit ups or crunches due to my bad back…it hurts my back very very bad and last time i done them i was stuck in bed the next day and couldnt move my back. but anyways…what can i do to tone up myself…will it work just to use the gazelle?

The short answer to your question is yes. If you faithfully use your gazelle several times a week, you will start to tone up. To get lean, tone muscles you need to do lighter weights with more repetitions. If you were to do few reps at heavy weights, you would get bigger bulky muscles. Another good thing about cardio machines like the gazelle is that they help out your cardiovascular system and help you lose weight.
Many people feel that just weight lifting will make them look good but not necessarily. If you are super strong but have a layer of fat over it, you will just look even bigger. That's why cardio workouts should always be used with any sort of strength training. They help remove the layer of fat the may be concealing your beutiful muscles!

Go to walmart or Canadian Tire, you can get little weights and they're pretty cheap. Also try using one of those exercise balls. Even filling up pop bottles with water can be used as weights. Google good exercises to do at home with weights, works pretty well

The gazelle will help but try some weight bearing excercises as well, they don't have to be sit ups or crunches. Do squats, lunges, bicep curls and things like that. Find Body Pump by les mills on the internet and do that it is awesome!
