please help, what is wrong with me? i am slowly losing more and more weight and i dont want to be this way
Answer:
If you are eating and going to the bathroom quite frequently, excreting solid waste, then your body is not digesting and absorbing the nutrients it needs from the food. It is almost like your body is just pushing the food through your system. Either that or your body is simply a quick digestor and burns calories at a very accelerated rate. My guess is my first thought however. It's time to see the doc.
You could have one of several conditions including a thyroid condition called hyperthyroidism. What you are experiencing is not normal. Count how many calories you eat in a day and if it exceeds 2500 or 3000 calories in a day then there is a problem if you are losing weight. Like I said above, I would see the doctor because you need to get this under control. Losing too much weight is bad for your muscles, bones and organs but not being able to absorb the nutrients you eat is far worse. Hope this helps, stay healthy.
Answer:
definately go see your doctor, it could be a virus, or a parasite feeding off of you, stealing your nutrients. have you done any travelling lately?
Answer:
It's possible that your body just isn't absorbing the food as well as it should. Would definitely check with a doctor.
Answer:
dang. this may be high metabolism. your hypothamalus may be effected. its the thing in your brain that regulates ur basic biological needs such as hunger. the lateral side of it may be tell ing your body that it wants more. however, the fact that your are constantly losing weight means theres another side to the problem. you should contact your physician just to be safe. goodluck : ]
Answer:
You need a comprehensive medical work up. Have your hormones & thyroid tested as well as suggestions above.
Good luck to you.
Answer:
I suggest you have your thyroid tested. You may have a fast thyroid….hyperthyroidism..which just means your thyroid creates to many thyroid hormones…and the thyroid controls your metabolism.
Here is a list of symptoms of an overactive thyroid:
always hungry
heart palpitations
nervousness
insomnia
breathlessness
increased bowel movements
light or absent menstrual periods
fatigue
weight loss
trembling hands
fast heartbeat
warm skin
hair loss
Now just because you have some of these signs or symptoms does not mean you have hyperthyroidism.
It is detected by a simple blood test.
And if you are found to have hyperthyroidism…there is a simple pill to take..what is known as a beta blocker amongst other drugs. Its a fairly common problem so dont worry. You just have an increase of thyroid hormones…no biggie.
Have your mom or dad take you to your family doc to get a thyroid blood test.

even though you werent like this as a child, it probably is your metabolism. as your hormones change so does your metabolism. im guessing you are going through puberty… if you really are that scared then you really should go see a doctor!! hope you get better!!
