Well I have Bells Palsy, I know what it is i was just wondering if anyone knew how long it generally lasts or basically just anything.

Answer:
Bell's palsy typically lasts from weeks to months. There’s nothing out there to cure it but to let the nerve (Facial Nerve) to regenerate - depending how much the damage is. You can go to physical therapy to avoid secondary complications like facial muscle wasting which can lead to facial contractures. They also instruct you facila muscle exercises to help your facial muscles regain their strength.

-Registered Physical Therapist.

Answer:
Bell's Palsy is often caused by Lyme disease.

A common treatment for Bell's Palsy is steroids. You should be extremely careful about this, because if it is from Lyme disease, steroids will make the Lyme a lot, lot, worse.

Answer:
It can last anywhere from a few weeks to several months. Also, it can occur as a response to different viruses or have an unknown etiology.

Answer:
I knew someone that had it- she went through 1 episode that lasted for 18 months and another for only a few weeks. There really didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.
