I just recently became partnered and though my company does not offer domestic partnership, I was wondering if I could still get my partner on my health insurance?

Answer:
Check with yr Personnel Manager as each company has different rule for extra coverage. Might want to call the insurance company & talk to them too.

Answer:
Most company's do let you do that, I know at my work place they offer health insurance and they allow coverage to on your family.

You would have to check with your manager or if he or she does not really know, check with your boss he or she’ll be able to tell you. Report Abuse

Answer:
It seems you have already answered your own question. If your company does not allow it there is nothing you can do at this time except to look for a company that does grant it. If you live in a state where such partnerships are legal you have a superior chance of finding a company more accepting to add legal partnerships.

Answer:
If your company does not offer domestic partner coverage, then you’ll not be able to add him or her to your insurance coverage. You will only be able to add a person if you’re legally married.

Answer:
no, if your employer doesn't allow coverage for domestic partnership, then the health insurance company can't allow it either.

Answer:
If they don't offer insurance for domestic partners then the answer is no. Only spouses are covered.
