My 9 1/2 year old daughter is having what appears to me, quite frequent headaches. I am starting to worry, maybe I shouldn't be. I have asked her if her eyesight is ok and she said it is so I don't know what else it could be. I give her Advil or Tylenol and it goes away. Is this maybe related to puberty? Is this worth a doctor visit or am I just over reacting here?! Thanks!
Answer:
She may have some stress issues….try to get her to relax and try not to give her Advil and Tylenol so much because it isn't good for her. Take her to the family doctor. Whenever she gets headaches, she needs to rest.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was puberty related. You have to think about all of the hormonal changes going on in her body right now. But, just to be on the safe side, I might would ask the doctor about it. She might have a slight vision problem, but doesn't realize it since she's living with it everyday.
Answer:
I started getting regular headaches when I was young. I still get them. It's SUCKS! When I was a kid, my doctor prescribed Clariton for allergies, and that did make a lot of my regular headaches go away, however, I still got headaches more than the regular average Joe.
Could be allergies, or something in the diet- red meats and too much processed sugars also give me headaches. Or it could be a hormones as she grows older. I'd try going to the doctor, because if it's allergies, it's pretty easy to take care of.
