I need to drink a total of 600CC (about 20oz) of Barium Sulfate before a cat scan so they can see my digestive system or whatever. So, I need to know how it tastes and how long it will take to get rid of it (out of my system).
Btw, I’m extremely picky, and I always vomit if I eat something I don't like.

Why are they giving you barium sulfate? Thats kinda out-dated. I had a CT scan and they gave me radioactive dye in yellow gatorade. It goes through a lot faster and comes out quicker.

It tastes like chalk. Milky chalk.
It'll probably take about 24 hours to go through your system. Your poop will be whitish. Consider yourself lucky if you only have to drink it. I had to drink it AND have it pumped into me from the opposite end! What a treat!

The unflavored barium taste a bit chalky, but they do make it in flavors include berry…..the berry kinda taste like a shake, but make sure it's COLD it taste a lot superior…..After your test make sure you drink plenty of water because barium can make you constipated
