which career would you be suitable for? I would like a career that’s flexible, more time with family, more respect, and good pay? Which one would you pick from these two and why? Pros and cons.

Answer:
That isn't how you pick a specialty. You do rotations in med school, and find out what you love, and that’s what you do.

If you're not more than halfway through med school, it's silly to speculate on what you think you'd like to do. You can select something, but you'll change your mind.

In med school, you find where you fit in. What's the sense of dedicating your life to pathology if you hate it, just so you can show up to work later?

Worry about it if/when you get to med school.

Answer:
Ok, there is nearly nothing in common between those two careers, and if you're considering both of them, it's because you’ve absolutely no idea which fields of medicine interest you.
So I would first find out what interests you, then try to figure out a nice, lifestyle-friendly way to do that.

Answer:
The emergency room physician is under constant stress while working. This is bad for the doctor and his family.

The pathologist has vastly more control over his life with much less stress.

Both jobs will pay reasonably well.
