A friend has lost their inhaler and cannot get to a physicians to get another one, I however can.
Will they let me pick one up?

Answer:
If you let them know your picking it up for a friend before hand they might well do. Phone them up, state the problem and they might be ok with it. At least that way youve saved yourself a journey if they say no.

Answer:
First off, hospitals typically don't have dispensing pharmacies. Secondly, you friend is going to need a prescription, and though often pharmacies will allow family members to fill scrips for a patient, they're not apt to just let some random guy do so.

Answer:
not in the UK, you’ll need a prescription from a doctor in order to get one. His/ her usual pharmacy might be able to help in an emergency as they would know he/she usually has one and might grant them to have one, but they would still have to get a prescription at a later date for it.

Answer:
If your friend phones their physicians surgery to order a new one - they'll write the prescription - then you just go and pick it up on their behalf !

I've collected prescriptions for other people loads of times !

Answer:
No, they will need to see the person that needs the inhalers.

Answer:
no, they’ll need to see the other person and do tests
