during the nights i sometimes get woken up to go to the toilet. but when i get up, i get a sort of burning feeling at the top of my penis. what is it?
i do drink water before i sleep but only about half a glass

Drinking water is good for you, but it's not a real good idea just before bed. I would, however, recommend, a cup of hot chocolate or Milo. It could help you sleep superior and you would still be intaking the same amount of water, but the subliminal recommendation of having to urinate that water during the night is not there.

Ok i know you stated men only but i have seen that a lot of times and its usually the same problem. Bladder infection. when you have a bladder infection you go more frequently and during the night and the top of your penis burns. you can go to the physician and get medicine for it or you just drink cranberry juice (that's the ideal thing to drink during bladder infections). drink about 5 or more glasses a day and that should help a lot with the burning and it will help regulate your lavatory trips. good luck!

sounds like a tract infection, UTI… drink a lot of water and i hear cranberry juice works… if the pain persists you will need a prescription from the doctor for an antibiotic… don't let it go on for more than a few days if it's not getting superior… good luck
