the whole 20/20 or whatever number scale?

my presciption box for the contacts has “-2″ for both eyes?

Answer:
20/20 vision is the perfect vision, in your case you achieve this with a correction of -2.00 lense.

-2.00 means that you’re short sighted (that is you can see objects close up without a correction but you need a lense to see perfectly in the distance).

Answer:
It's your prescription for your eye exam. At least both of your eyes are equal but you still need correction if the physician prescribes it. You’ve 20/20 which is supposed to be the ideal vision when corrected and by wearing the lenses.

Answer:
-2 means you're nearsighted
