im in florida and i have 20/30 in one eye and 20/40

do i have to have glasses or contacts??

Answer:
I just checked the Florida DMV site and you’ll probably pass the vision test. It requires at least 20/40 vision. Here’s what the site says about it. If you have have glasses already. I recommend you bring them to the test just in case.

Vision - Vision testing, using an eye machine located on the counter, is conducted in all driver license offices. Visual acuity readings worse than 20/40 are referred to an eye specialist. Color blindness will not cause any special condition for licensing.

Answer:
In Florida, the law says that “if glasses can improve the vision, they must be worn.” Therefore, if you see better with glasses

then you must wear them. Your vision, from the numbers you quote isn’t bad, but bad enough that I'm sure you don't have the greatest night vision without correction. Why take a chance?

Get the exam, get the glasses and use them for driving. If you don't want to wear them for anything else, then don't.

Answer:
They might during your driving test make you look at a board with letters and might make you read them. Usually if you get them right, they’ll let you go through. If it is bad, then they will suggest you go to the eye doctor to get checked first.

Answer:
I will tell you that reading glasses want help. Are you far sided or near sided? The screen makes it far sided and htat is why reading glasses want help.

Answer:
you will probably need to wear glasses or contacts for your test.
