I saw an optometrist today for the first time in 3 years. She took some pictures of my eye and told me I might have glaucoma but she wasn't sure…she wasn't very helpful but told me to come back in a few days…
I was hoping some Eye Doctor/Optometrist on Yahoo could take a look at my pictures and give me their opinion. I'm very scared as I am only a 30 year old guy! Any help or comments will be appreciated…The pictures are attached on the links below.

Without the ability to see your nerves in a three dimensional picture it is difficult to say. BUT, it does appear that your cup/disc ratio (the ratio of the size of the white part of the nerve compared to the overall size of the nerve) is larger than average. This could be an indication you have glaucoma. BUT, both eyes look pretty similar. In most cases of glaucoma, assymmetry exists (one eye's nerve looks significantly different than the other) and your nerves look pretty symmetrical with the cups relatively round in shape. This tends to lead you more to a diagnosis of congenital cupping rather than glaucoma.
If it is possible to compare these photos with some taken a few years ago then it would be much easier to tell if this is glaucoma. Glaucoma will always cause progressive damage to nerves, so change would be seen. If these nerves look exactly like they did several years ago, then it is much less likely that you have glaucoma.
Now here is the biggest BUT. BUT, the best technology available to aid in diagnosis of glaucoma is what is called laser nerve fiber analysis. There are several different instruments such as a GDX or maybe an HRT that can scan the nerve fibers on the back of the eye and judge whether these nerve fibers are normally thick or are thinning related to glaucomatous damage. I would NEVER make a diagnosis of glaucoma without doing a nerve fiber analysis. If your doctor does not have the technology to perform nerve fiber analysis I would recommend getting a second opinion with a doctor experienced in glaucoma diagnosis and treatment who has modern technology to aid in diagnosis and trearment.

Yeah, right; somebody on Yahoo answers is going to look at a bunch of pictures and tell you if you have glaucoma.
Are you SERIOUS? These are your EYES - you only get one set. If your doctor isn't sure - FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR!!!!!
Answer:
did she do an eye poof test they just poof air on the eye it is simple and does not hurt, if that is high they will run more tests yes it is scary to be told you have it but it can be controlled with eye drops most of the time , i was told i have it a little over a year ago. it took several trips to the doc to get me on the right drops but well worth it as the alternative is going blind if she says surgery get a 2nd opinion. and go see a different eye doc. before you do anything else
Answer:
If "she" didn't check the presure on your
eyes with the "poof test" or a presure meter
"she aint much of a doc,get your a** to another
doc ASAP!!
