I don't recall buying the wrong product..but my roommate has refused to get new glasses in years, and comes home with some pretty quirky food items she later claims she didn't purchase. (I just realized that her problems are probably way more serious than her visual acuity.)
I did drive smack into a raised 'island' in the road, giving me quite a jolt, as I didn't see it, When I got home I realized that I had left my glasses at home. I think we both have issues.
