I'm 27 years old and 6 months pregnant with our first child. I've developed terrible round ligament pains ( right side of my groin).

I was off work yesterday and now this day. Feeling a bit superior, but I know that when I go back to work it will come back as I'm quite active at work ( filing and driving to the bank and stuff). I can't afford to go on maternity leave just yet and I'm afraid of asking my boss to change my duties as it will mean that my job becomes picked up by other people.

How can I manage these pains? Anyone else been through something similar in their pregnancy?

Answer:
I had the exact same thing happen to me and it got so bad that I was in terrible pain that I left work early two days in a row and went to the hospital. My boss ended up telling me that I could no longer work until after the baby was born and I was ready to come back. Trust me I wasnt ready (emotionally and financially) to be taken out of work. But ever since then the pain has nearly disappeared. There are still times when Im in pain but nowhere near how bad it was while working. You’ve to take care of your body for you and the baby.. thats your first priority. as difficult as it might be sometimes. See if your boss will put you on a “light duty” type job and see if that helps!

Goodluck hun!!
