I’ve one male cat and one female cat. Each cat hisses at each other when they’re in the presence of each other. Do I let the cats get to know each other naturally?
Answer:
I had the same situation. I took in a stray (a female) cat that I fond and my cat of 5 years (a male) didn’t like her, hissing at each other and just not plainly not liking each other. I was worried about having to give up the stray but I decided I should wait a while and in about a week to 2 weeks time the two kitties were sleeping together and playing. Just give your cats some time and they'll get to know each other.

There's really nothing you can do except letting them get used to each other naturally. They will be hissy for a while, but eventually they’ll get used to being together and figure that they should get along. When one hisses at another, just tell him/her “no!” and let them learn that you don't want them to fight. Unless they're biting and scratching, it's best to leave them to decide what to do with each other. Since it's a girl and a boy, they're less prone to be fighting over their territory and so it'll take shorter time for them to settle.

Lol you cant make them like each other! Are they newly introduced? If so they may get used to each other. I’ve a female and a male cat, and they’ve been together for 3 years now. The male still has a pop at rosie sometimes and there is nothing I can do. Good luck with your cats.
