So as some of you know, i am fostering a 6 month old Golden Retriever Lab mix. She’s the sweetest thing and she and my Eddie boy have grown extremely close. They never leave each others side. Now her time with us is almost up, she’ll go back to the shelter next week, unless we decide to adopt her.
Now, my delima is that we had a past experience with an adopted dog that turned out bad. I dont think that Lillia could/would ever injured Eddie, im just scared about it happining again.
Lillia is the sweetest dog ever and my whole family, including Eddie and my cat Smokey, love her to death! Shes great
Do you think that it would be wise to adopt her from this description?
Do you think i should let her go? I just am trying to do whats ideal for Eddie and Lillia
Answer:
If you haven't seen any signs of trouble, I can't envision why you would think things would go bad. Different dogs do different things - and as you say, they pal around together and get along just fine.
If she is so sweet, I can't imagine your sending her back to the shelter?! Please adopt her. Ediie sounds like a very good judge of character, and you should listen to him.
Answer:
This sounds like a dream come true - If your whole family adores her, by all means keep her.
You’ve had a chance to have her in your home and see how she interacts with you and your other pets, and if you haven't seen any major issues, sounds like this adoption should work out great! If it will make you feel superior, speak to the shelter about what support they have available for adopters if you run into any problems later. But it sounds like she’ll be a great addition to your family.
Answer:
You’ve a young dog who you have been fostering a while, and have had no problems with - go for it! I'm sorry you had a problem with a previous adopted dog, but from what you state here - I don't see that arising in this case. If you all love her dearly, I think adopting her for good would be a fabulous thing to do - and I'm sure Lillia and Eddie would thank you for it!
Answer:
You’ve said everything positive and nothing negative about this dog, so I don't see what the problem is. This dog isn’t the same as any other dog you’ve owned before so please don't compare them. Keep on loving this dog and adopt her, I’ve a feeling she is going to fit in as part of the family really fast….she cares about you guys and you love her…I say go for it!! Good luck and congrats on your new addition!!
Answer:
It sounds like she’s settling in well with the family. I highly doubt you’ll have another bad experience if she’s getting along so well with everyone now.
Plus if someone is ussually home, you’ve to time to work with her to assure an eve more successful adoption.
I think the Keep'um fairy is knocking at your door!
Answer:
How long have you been fostering? If you haven't had any problems up until now I would state you should probably be fine! If the two dogs have a good connection taking them away from one another isn't fair- unless of course you don't have the time or finances to take care of two dogs.
I state go for it! And KUDOS to you for fostering!
Answer:
How long have you been fostering her? If she's been great all this time, I don't think you should worry about her having a personality change just because you decide to adopt her!
If you want another dog, she sounds ideal.
Answer:
i thgink it would be a good idea to adopt her. shes sweet and kind and you’ve the time and money to take care of her so why not? you just have to have faith in her
Answer:
Well, seeing as how close Lillia is with your entire family, and how much you and your pets love her, I think it'd be great to adopt her! C :
