I tried to feed my fish earthworms unfortunately, they ignored it. now, the earthworms dug into my substrate! I tried to take thwm out of the tank but I can't find them! Will this affect the water chemistry? Will it be harmful for my fishes?

Answer:
They will drown very swiftly, die and rot. If they are big they could cause some problems. But it should be okay. Just keep an eye out for any rotten smells or clouded water.

The water chemistry as such would be fine.

Answer:
earthworms cant survive underwater maybe ur fish eat it already, it will just rot under water or myb ur fillter cought it already…. humm it actualy hapend 2 me too but mine was superworms my flowerhorn just ignored it… just change ur water at least 30% and it will be fine….

Answer:
I have had this happen to me as well. I do not think they’ll injured the chemistry and they will eventually come up. To be sure vac the gravel each once in a while and see if anything turns up.
