He claws my mouth! Ouch?

Author: admin

hi, i know we all have issues with our cats waking us up early to be fed or played with, but this morning Ben who is getting superior i might add, came straight up to my pillow and was purring and staring at me, usually he just attacks the head board until i get up. So i opened my eyes and because he was purring and being nice, i said ok ben i'll get up in ten minutes but he saw my lips moving etc and clawed my lip, it's blooming sore now! he cant help it i know he’s just clumsy shall i have his claws clipped (not declawed, just trimmed)

Answer:
I'm against declawing too.

Trimming a cat's claws is part of grooming.

You can use claw clippers (guillotine type) or toe-nail clippers for this.

1. Press Ben's paw so that his claws extend.

2. The claw will have a pinkish part inside - it's called the swift. YOU MUST NOT CLIP THAT!

3. Clip the white tips. The slicing line is at least 3mm away from the quick.

If you're still unsure, ask the veterinarian to show you how to clip them. And get your lip checked.

There's an old saying: “If you play with a tiger, anticipate to be scratched.” A cat is a lot like a mini tiger…

Answer:
I agree with John D!

Kill it!

If I scratched your lip, you'd shoot me.

I suggest you do the same for your cat.

Alternatively, drown it. Cats love water anyway, its probably the way “Ben the Bast*rd” would prefer to go!

Cats are stupid.

Make sure it dies within the week.

Or bad luck will fall upon you.

Most certainly this bad luck will include death.

Its up to you. Who dies? You or the cat?

Answer:
Cats have peculiar behavior. I've never been scratched on my lip but I have be waken up to my cat chewing my hair and kneading my scalp…oww Maybe it was a one time thing. Getting his claws clipped down is a good thing so that if for some reason he scratches you accidentally again it won't hurt so much.

Answer:
Theres no way you can fix a misbehaving cat.

Get it put down immediately.

If you can't afford a vet, just lightly stomp on it's head until it dies.

Make sure your next cat is well behaved.

yes be careful of the quick. http://partnersah.vet.cornell.edu/pet/fh…

I trim my cats claws when ever I notice them getting too long or sharp. usually about each 2-6 weeks

Answer:
to John D you are horrible horrible person and I hope some onedoes to you what you said! To your question. My cats aren't allowed in my bed room but they do scratch me a lot. Jake for example(he is my male cat half simase half something else) has this habit that if I am in the kitchen getting something to drink or eating and i am standing up he'll claw my butt. I’m short and that’s an easy reach for him so he claws my leg or butt. Bella on the other hand(She is my tiny calico runt of the litter she was in) just purrs and rubs my legs she has learned to not use claws on mama cause it hurts. I don't know maybe it is guy thing no offense.
