I want to know if it's durable and all because my parents are devorced and when we switch houses i wanna make sure the thing won't break on me. I just checked it and it >seems< good. But I would like to know what you guys think. oh its a male :] and we've had it for a while but still :] (i usually hold it from the bottom so idk) do you think the tank is good, we put some marble looking thinks in there... if that matters x]
Answer:
I had the same challenge with my betta (my parents are divorced too). I finally decided that I would leave him at my mom's house and she would feed him etc. according to the schedule I gave her (she was really helpful!). Moving back and forth constantly will be very stressful for your betta and you should consider leaving it at one house and have a family member who is willing look after it!
I have used that tank before and it should be fine. If you transport your betta you should either hold the tank or keep it secure at your feet. Also, don't forget to lower the amount of water to prevent spilling in the car. Oh, and watch the handles… they like to come off so I would recommend carrying it in your arms (like you mentioned you do).
Good luck,
Aki
Answer:
The more massive the tank the superior yes, but I think he needs a heater, they like warm waters. The tank you’ve is plexiglass so it probably wont break though, just change most of the water as much as possible and add STRESS COAT + to dechlorinate the new water if you can..
Answer:
That tank should be fine for the betta fish, i kept mine in an old brandy glass, because it looked cool, and he was perfectly happy and health for about a year
Answer:
it looks really small. I think that you should get 2 3 gallon tanks and put one in your dad's home and one in your mom's house and put your betta in small tank only for transportation.
Answer:
its like a shoe box its little really your betta needs a bigger tank 5 gallons minimum 10 gallons is superior
