ok so ive had my slider for about a month now, and have only seen him bask about 3 times. and i know shes been out more than that because sometimes she will slide back into the water when she sees me. but just a tiny bit ago she tried to get out and she nearly flipped over upside down and it scared me half to death, this happend about 2 more times, will she be okay to get up to bask now when im not here if she like goes upside down??? i know she didn't get scared because she tried 2 more times.
Answer:
Shw will be fine, just check on her. You’ll never see her upside down longer than a minute. they’ll flip their self over. Sliders are very mobil. I have a couple reds my self. I went to home depot, got one of those sink in hard plastic ponds. it is 90 gallons, cost 40 dollers. they love it, the only bad side is they love it to where they dont have a use for me. But its all about there happy ness to me. Also you can set it inside sence it is very strong.
Answer:
Healthy turtlles can right them selves if flipped. And if if its already warm enough it might not want to bask right under the light or on a heat rock or w/e.
