i have 2 long haired syrian hamsters.i would want to keep them in the same cage so that I would have my expenses for them to be lower.

how do i do that?any introduction to be done?any tips?thanks

Answer:
I wouldn’t try it, but I comprehend that you're trying to lower expenses. Syrians are solitary creatures and are territorial, but on neutral ground (during play time) they could possibly play together. However, make sure that you’re watching carefully and will separate them whenever you need to.

Although you put them together and they don't fight, you’ve no idea when their basic instincts will kick in and fight, possibly when you're sleeping and don't know.

But there’s a way to lower your expenses. You could buy a massive cage, and separate it with a piece of wood to prevent any fighting. think about an aquarium or two level rat cage. You'll still have to purchase double of everything (except for a ball), but one good thing is that the food won't go bad since you'll probably get through it swiftly with two hamsters.

Answer:
Syrian hamsters are strictly solitary. They do not need companions, and forcing two to share a cage will cause them to become stressed. Stress will make them sick, and will cause them to fight. Many solitary animals will fight to the death. They’re not meant to share territory with any other animals. Do not attempt this at all plz

If you can’t afford their bedding costs, you should not own them. surrender one to an animal shelter, or make sacrifices sum other way

Answer:
I doubt that will happen. Syrian Hamsters are solitary creatures; they’ll probably fight to the death for territory.

If you want to try… you should introduce them on neutral ground (anywhere they haven't marked as their territory), but watch them closely and separate at the first sign of a scuffle.

Answer:
Syrians live alone and will kill the other 'intrudor' that comes in his home. There are no expenses what ever you mean by that. You have 2 hamsters put them together = 1 dead and 1 injured but alive.
