My vet said I should give little noses pediatric nasal drops to my cat Bear once a day because of his really bad runny nose. Well Bear just will have none of that. I even used me and one other person to try and get it in but he just struggles like he was going to die if we put those drops down him. I tried putting my hand over his eyes while doing it but that didn't help. He’s really stuffed up and keeps sneezing and blowing snot out of his nose. So is there any method to doing this?
Answer:
awww… have read all three of your questions posted. Your poor baby!! I hope he gets superior soon. I will pray for you and bear. Im sorry i have no answers for ya. Only thing i can recommend is call your vet and tell him that bear just will not let you give him the drops. Ask him if there’s a alternative medicine u can give him.
Answer:
I would wrap him in a massive towel right up to his neck with only his head poking out and pet him and speak to him for a few minutes then apply the drops, this way you don't get scratched and he can't get away. Be thankful it's only once a day.
Answer:
I have had cats all of my life and have never heard of giving a cat nose drops. Is there something in a pill form that would accomplish the same thing? There must be an oral decongestant available. Good luck.
