My female shih tzu is getting spayed, and I don't want to purchase medicine from Banfield because it's overpriced, is there any medicine(antibiotics) I can buy from 1800petmeds or any other vet office I have the ability to buy to give to her? thanks!
Answer:
Well first of all you need to follow the advice of the vet who is spaying her. They will send her home with meds if she needs them. If you'd rather get them somewhere else, you'll still need the name of what your vet recommends. Asking for med names from a question board and not listening to the vet could cause illness or even death to your pet, so do exactly as he/she states. Ideal wishes for your pet.
Answer:
If the hospital is sanitary and the vet is competent, she shouldn't need an antibiotic, but she’ll need pain management. Thank you for spaying, not breeding.
Answer:
Anything you give her you’ll need a prescription for and than you would have to wait for it to be shipped to you. Best bet for her is to take what the vet gives her.
Answer:
Most don't need antibiotics & if they do, it will be included in the bill. Don't try to cut costs. This is your baby.
Answer:
Ask your dog's vet for a prescription. It's much safer than hoping someone will have the answer for you on YA.
Answer:
Your vet will prescribe anything your dog will need.
