I'm 10 and 1/2 weeks pregnant and am constantly fatigued. I never have any energy. I hear of all these pregnant women who can sleep all day and all night if they wanted to. But I cant do that!!! :(. Its hard enough for me to sleep at night even though I have been sleeping really good at night lately. So I was wondering if I'm normal. Is it normal to feel drained??? Totally OUT of energy?? Or should I talk to the doctor about this?

Thanks!

Answer:
Your normal :) Your body is basically sucking energy out of you while it's growing a baby and you do feel totally drained. And pregnancy induced insomnia is also common. For me, I could sleep all day if I was able to, and then around 11 pm I get a second wind and can't fall asleep until 4 am. What helps me fall asleep is taking a warm shower with that johnsons baby bath for bedtime… it works for adults too lol This is my second pregnancy and with my first I would stay up until 6 am and drag all day long, and around 11/12 weeks I was fine. This time I'm 10.5 weeks along, like you and I'm hoping it goes away soon lol So anyways, back to your question, it is VERY normal to feel drained… it means your body is doing what it's supposed to do. You should begin feeling better in a couple weeks when your second trimester starts.

Answer:
i am about ten weeks and i am still nursing, it takes me all day to get energy and to get going. you will feel better later in the pregnancy Report Abuse

Answer:
Oh yeah, that's definitely normal. I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant and have the same problem. I sleep fine during the night (with the exception of having to get up 2 or 3 times to use the bathroom) but I’m tired during the day. I go home on my lunch break and I could fall asleep. By the time I get home around 5:30 I’m still exhausted so I eat and lay down and I can't fall asleep! It makes no sense. I try to nap when I can but I can't get sleepy although I’m fatigued! I'm glad to hear that someone else is experiencing this as well.

Answer:
Its absolutely normal. What it is is your body is going through all the hormonal changes (an increase in progesterone) causing your body to almost go into shock which leads to your body wanting to recuperate itself, this then leads you to be fatigued and drained of all possible energy. Don't worry it will get better by your second trimester.

Ideal of Luck in the future!!!!!!

Answer:
The first 12-14 weeks you’ll feel completely fatigued. It has to do with the hormones, and that drained feeling will pass…but it's a bear to get through. I remember practically falling asleep at work, during conversations! It was terrible. A few more weeks and you’ll feel a new burst of energy! Good luck!

Answer:
I was like that with this pregnancy. I couldn't stay awake during the day and have no energy. Also had hard time sleeping at night time has well. I am 22 weeks pregnant now and I still have no energy and at times do feel exhausted.. I’ve two children to take care of has well.

Answer:
Deff. speak to your physician, you should be all the way drained like you say.

I would try yoga, it helps you relax…. and after that enjoy a GREAT NAP!!!

Answer:
Unfortunately completely normal. You are so exhausted but it seems you can't do anything about it! It will pass once your body adjust to all of the changes. Good Luck!!

Answer:
oh yeah. its completely normal to feel that way. I am 15 weeks pregnant. i used to feel that way until 3 weeks now. You’ll feel better! Hang in

Answer:

Answer:
