Hi everyone, I’ve a single dwarf gourami in a fish tank at my house and want to bring it back to my college dorm room with me when I go home for thanksgiving. The only problem is that they won't allow the heater in my dorm. Will my fish, Zeus, still be ok even without a heater? I heard that the recommended minimum temperature for this fish is around 72 degrees and I’ve no clue what the temperature will be when it is in my room. I miss him and want him to come back with me. Thanks for the advise, hopefully it is what I want to hear.

Answer:
i am sorry. your fish will die if it does not have a heater. hopefully u will have someone to take care of him for u. i know it wont work from personal experience

Answer:
Your fish needs a steady temp set at a range of 76 to 80. If the temp is going up and down it will stress your fish and he will be subject to sickness. Go to wetwebmedia.com and search out why he needs a steady temp. There’s a lot of info on this site that’ll help you be in the know. The ideal thing for your fish is a heater.

Answer:
no he needs a heater

why wont they let you use a heater

cant you just hide it

put it next to your gouramis filter and if thy spot it tell them it is part of the filter

Answer:
dont tell them youve got a heater and hide it with a plant is the ideal option otherwise get a thermometer and when it gets cold add warm water after its been treated obviously if it goes cold he will DIE!!!

Answer:
if you cant use a heater if you have a hood with a light this can help your water temp just leave the light on this can help but you really need a heater

Answer:
You're going to have to sneak the heater in so your fish won't die

Answer:

Answer:
