I'm due any day now and i've been putting up with heartburn my whole pregnancy. What foods gave you heartburn the most when you were pregnant? I'm always popping rolaids, tums, or zantac, which barely take it away..For me its, spaghetti sause, pizza sause, anything pretty much with SAUSE! argh! I get it so bad that it makes my stomach hurt..what does it for you?

Answer:
Hang in there. It's almost over.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much heartburn with either of my pregnancies, but when I did, it was usually something tomato based that caused it. Sounds like you're in the same boat. Tomatoes are actually very acidic. Most people don't realize how acidic they are.

"According to Dr Joshi ripe raw tomatoes are not acidic. Cooked tomatoes (as in pasta sauce, tomato soup, pizza topping) is highly acidic to your system…"

Answer:
ketchup, anything tomatoey

Answer:
pizza sauce & thats pretty much it :)

I have to take a ton of tums if I eat pizza & thats all my bf ever eats is Pizza Pizza Pizza

Answer:
Honestly at this point is seems like everything. If I am not nauseous, I have heartburn. Vegetables such as broccoli, and cauliflower are really bad. But anything greasy is also. Tums go with me everywhere.

Answer:
Sweets, fruity things, ect. Those all gave me horrible heartburn!!! I can eat spicy food and no heartburn its crazy!

OH…I am eating pizza right now and no heartburn!

I would get heartburn from fruit snacks before pizza lol its weird!

Answer:
Heartburn is cause of high acidity of cameos which mostly it's by vegetables or heat of paper .stomach release acid to burn up the food and when percentage of the acidity is getting high heartburn it happen .It seem you can not digest tomato or any product made of.

Answer:
The sauces did me dirty too! Pizza, spaghetti, etc. All the things I just loved to eat!

Also, random tidbit. Have you heard that women with excessive heartburn end up having babies with a lot of hair? I thought it was a old wives tale, but our local news (Seattle), just did a story on it, and apparently studies have shown it's true! My son was born with a full head of hair, I had heartburn my entire pregnancy. Go figure! :)

Answer:
For me its anything spicy, but coconut gives me heartburn too. Strange I thought..
