Fertility injections?Anyone?

Has anyone had any fertility injections.Did they work and how did you feel that you had to stick yourself.would it be superior to let my husband inject me.Did you do iui with it?

I did fertility injections in preparation for IUI. It's been a couple of years but I know I did Folistem for several days. I injected that myself in my stomach. I was a tiny freaked out by it at first, but the needle was pretty short so it wasn't too bad. I then had to do the trigger shot in my backside…kind of by my upper hip. I was going to have the nurse that lives across the street do it for me, but I ended up having to do it at midnight and hated to bother her…so my sister came over and she did it for me (my husband hid in the living room!). It really wasn't so bad either, I didn't even feel it I had 6 folicles on the day of the IUI and ended up pregnant with twins. It was my first cycle on the injectables and my first IUI.

Don't be scared of them!

I used injectables in prep for IUI last August. I injected myself from day 3 until day 23 of my cycle. It's much better to inject yourself than get someone else to do it. I normally hate injections but these type are simple to do yourself. It just looks like a pen which you quickly jab into either your tummy or thigh. The needle is so thin that you don't feel it at all.
My first IUI with injectables worked. Had previously used Clomid for many cycles with no luck.
