I had a tampon in me and was at a swim practice (not at my pool, at the community pool). The locker room doesn't have stalls or bathrooms or anything, so I didn't take my tampon out. I didn't even look down there, just went on with my bussiness. Then I did some running laps with my team. Then my friend and I went to the bathroom. That was only 2 hours since I put the tampon in, but I didn't see the strings while I was peeing. I couldn't check that much, so I finished with practice. My mother called the physician and they stated to look around. It possibly could've fallen out but if I can't find it I should go in and get check out. I looked with a mirror, felt around, etc. My mother said she thinks she should check because she’s a physician and if she doesn't see it I should be okay. I'm embarrassed to do this because I think I'm fine but my mother doesn't want to have to bring me all the way in (10 minute drive) with all the kids for it to be not in. What do you think?
Answer:
Yeah I've done the two tampon shuffle before, I felt like a magician you know the trick with the scarfs? I pulled one out and there was a second string! how did that get there? I wondered how many I would find. You feel like such a fool but it happens.
I found mine myself…put your finger up and bend all the way over forward so you have as much room as possible, then keeping your finger there, change position so you are squatting down, all the way down, so you're on your heels, everything up there will move on down to where you can reach it.
It's not a bad thing to do, you need to know your own body. If you can't find it, you need to have it looked for, I know that sucks but if it stays up there, it will go nasty and you'll get a horrid black icky discharge and run the risk of a serious infection - so you can go hunt it now while it's still relatively ok, or you can have a yucky smelly black thing pulled out in a week by someone else. I know which option I'd find less humiliating! ![]()
Answer:
Very unlikely it would fall out. The string probably broke or got wedged in you somehow, but you can still use your fingers to get the tampons out. Stick your fingers inside of you and feel around to see if you can get it. There’s no way the tampon can get buried in you, so if you can grab part of it and pull it out, that’ll work. If not, you'll have to go to the physician eventually (or your mother, I guess.)
Answer:
If you really think it's still in there, put a finger all the way inside as far as it can go and wiggle the finger around in circles a couple of times… if there's a tampon in there, you'll feel it.
If it *is* in there and you can't get it out, then a swift visit to the doctor (gee isn't it handy that you *live* with one?) is in order.
Answer:
If you feel more comfortable checking yourself by all means your should. This happened to me once, actually i forgot about it and ending up with 2 inside me at once. Thankfully they both came out but its your body and you should decide Hope this helps. .
Answer:
unless it got so full that it slipped right on out of you there is no other place for it to go. the string is probably just hanging out deep between your cheeks, haha nasty answer but try looking there
